In a statement, the agency said that a total of Php 1,170,396,500 have been disbursed so far, amounting to Php 6,500 each for the 180,061 beneficiaries as of June 1. The assistance was distributed via cash cards issued by the Landbank of the Philippines (LBP).
Isa sa pinakamalaking mandato na nakaatas sa LTFRB ang agarang pagbibigay ng fuel subsidy para maibsan ang epekto ng pagtaas ng presyo ng petrolyo sa pandaigdigang market,” the LTFRB said.

(One of the most important mandates of the LTFRB is the immediate distribution of the fuel subsidy to help ease the effects of rising petroleum prices in the world market)

Some 84,157 PUV operators have yet to receive their cash subsidies. According to the LTFRB, 57,841 of these are undergoing processing by the LBP for immediate remittance, with ATM cards already being printed.

The latest round of fuel price increases will be especially hard on diesel users

The LTFRB has assured the remaining PUV drivers and operators that it is addressing the current backlog so that all designated beneficiaries will be able to receive the subsidy, in light of rising prices for diesel fuel.

Meanwhile, the agency adds that the number of eligible delivery service drivers under the fuel subsidy program has reached 12,965 beneficiaries to date, with 9,552 individuals already receiving their cash assistance. These drivers were endorsed through the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). “Kasalukuyan pang pinoproseso ang naiwang bilang mula sa kabuuang listahan na 27,777 mula sa DTI,” it said.

(The remainder from the total of 27,777 listed under the DTI are still being processed)

Delivery service riders are also eligible to receive fuel subsidies

Tricycle drivers are also slated to receive cash subsidies under the program. According to the LTFRB, however, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has yet to submit a list of beneficiaries.
