The Nissan Terra is a mid-size, 5-door SUV based on the D23 Nissan Navara as such it shares many of its characteristics from its looks, especially on the front, some internal parts, and also its interior.
First revealed in March 2018 and launched initially in China in April 2018, the Philippine version of the Terra is powered by the 2.5-liter YD25DDTi Inline-4 diesel engine which can make up to 187 Hp and an impressive 450 Nm of torque. Power is then sent to the rear wheel by either a six-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed automatic transmission.
Inside, the flagship SUV of Nissan Philippines can comfortably accommodate 7 adults. Amenities that come standard include an easy to use touchscreen infotainment system, an FM/AM radio, USB and aux ports, and a 2 DIN Audio system. Passengers are made comfortable by Terra’s automatic climate control, adjustable seats, a heater, an engine start/stop button, and of course an air conditioner.
With regards to safety, the Terra is equipped with a front passenger and driver airbag, a side airbag for both the rear and front compartments, anti-lock braking system, EBD, and brake assist.
As for competition, the Nissan Terra shares its market segment with the likes of the Toyota Fortuner, the Chevrolet Trailblazer, the Mitsubishi Montero Sport, and the Isuzu Mu-X.
