Nissan Philippines has formally started the recall campaign for the Kicks e-Power units that have aircon (AC) cooling issues. The Japanese car brand is encouraging Kicks owners to contact their preferred authorized Nissan dealership to schedule a service appointment before bringing their vehicle in for repair.
Nissan Kicks e-Power
Nissan Philippines said that owners with confirmed service appointments will be prioritized for parts allocation. Previously, the car brand shared that the needed components for the service repair are partially ready. The parts needed are ordered from Japan with a reported waiting time of two to three months.
The inspection and repair for the Kicks e-Power’s AC cooling issue is said to take only around two hours to complete. Nissan added that it will also contact affected Kicks owners to inform them about the recall details.

Early this year, members of the Nissan Kicks e-Power Club sent a letter dated January 5, 2023 to Nissan PH president Juan Manuel Hoyos regarding the car’s AC cooling issue. It was stated that at least 14 Kicks e-Power owners claimed that the vehicle’s AC units have stopped working.
Nissan PH has voiced out once again that it is apologizing for any inconvenience the issue may have caused. The car brand added that it is committed to keeping its customers as a top priority and at the center of everything they do.
The Nissan Kicks e-Power is a five-seater subcompact crossover that’s equipped with an electric motor, a lithium-ion battery, and a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder gasoline engine. The total power output is rated at 134 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque.
