The Department of Transportation (DOTr), along with the San Miguel Corporation (SMC) Infrastructure, announced that it will start installing steel structures for the Regalado Station of the Metro Manila Transit Line-7 (MRT-7) next month.
Eastbound road closure
To make way for the construction works, portions of Commonwealth Avenue will be closed. As such, motorists traversing Commonwealth Ave. lanes between Regalado Avenue and Fairlane Street are advised to take alternate routes to avoid road inconvenience.
The road closure along Commonwealth Ave. West Bound Lane will commence on July 25 until November 26, from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. One lane along the eastbound route to Fairview will be opened to westbound motorists. An alternate route to Pontiac St. is also suggested.
Westbound road closure
Meanwhile, the road closure along the East Bound Lane will start on August 8 until December 6, 2023, from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. One lane will also be opened along the westbound route to mitigate traffic during the construction hours.
The DOTr has also released alternate routes for motorists going to Quezon Memorial Circle and SM Fairview, which you can check out below.

“We seek for the public’s cooperation and understanding for the temporary inconvenience, as the government works toward providing permanent convenience and comfort for the Filipino commuters, through enhanced public transport system,” said DOTr in a press release.
The MRT-7 is a 23-km elevated railway line with 14 stations including the Regalado Station. It will provide a railway system from San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan to North Avenue in Quezon City. Moreover, the MRT-7 will be connected to the Unified Grand Central Station, which will interconnect the Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1), Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3), MRT-7, and the Metro Manila Subway.
