The Chevrolet Spin was initially manufactured by General Motors Brasil in 2012. A year after, production began in Indonesia. In 2014, Chevrolet started marketing the multi-purpose vehicle globally. It was offered in three variants: a 1.2L engine with a five-speed manual transmission, a 1.3L turbo-diesel engine paired with a manual transmission, and a 1.5L engine mated with either a manual or six-speed transmission.
Locally, Chevrolet Philippines introduced the highly anticipated MPV in August 2013. As part of its grand launch, the Chevrolet Spin was displayed in selected malls.
The Chevrolet Spin measures 4,260mm long, 1,735mm wide, and 1,664mm tall. It features a dynamic and curvy exterior detailed with sculpted lines on both sides. Highlights include a wide, black-colored front grille with chrome trimmings, a pair of high-intensity discharge headlights, fog lamps at the front bumper, sturdy roof rails, body-colored door handles, power-folding side mirrors, and tall LED taillights. To complement its well-built exterior, the Chevrolet Spin wears a set of sturdy 15-inch wheels.
The Chevrolet Spin offers a roomy cabin courtesy of its 2,620mm wheelbase. Seven fully grown adults will enjoy interior features such as the comfortable bucket and folding tumble seats covered in cloth. It also comes with an instrument cluster complete with driving necessities, multi-function leather steering wheel with audio buttons and cruise control, rear-window defogger, cupholders in every row, and 12V power outlets for charging mobile devices.
Carrying luggage is a breeze as it offers a 162L trunk that extends up to 1,608L when the second and third-row seats are folded.
Technology & Safety Features
The Chevrolet Spin is fitted with a radio, CD, and MP3 player with AUX and Bluetooth connectivity. It is paired with four speakers strategically placed inside the cabin.
In terms of safety, the Chevrolet Spin is equipped with a good number of airbags, an anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution, three-point seatbelts, anti-theft protection alarm system, immobilizer, remote keyless entry, rear door child lock, and more.

The Chevrolet Spin is built using the GM Gamma II platform. It is equipped with a MacPherson front suspension and torsion beam rear suspension. Its braking power is assisted by discs at the front and drums at the rear.
