Initially produced back in 2004, the Innova belongs to Toyota’s IMV program which includes the Toyota Hilux and the Fortuner as such it shares many characteristics with its brothers.
The current generation either has the 2.8 inline-4 diesel engine capable of 169 horsepower and 343 Nm of torque and a gasoline 2.0 inline-4 which can make 138 horsepower and 183 Nm of torque.
On the Specsheet, the Toyota Innova has eight seats but 6 might be the ideal number to fit comfortably inside the vehicle. Passengers are kept comfortable by numerous creature comforts such as a touchscreen infotainment display, a decent sound system, air-conditioning, rear a/c vents, etc.
As for safety, the Innova comes standard with the anti-lock braking system, driver and front passenger airbags, electronic brake-force distribution and child safety locks.
The Innova shares its market segment with the Suzuki Ertiga, Honda Mobilio, the Kia Carens, and the Haima V70.
