The Audi Q2 was officially unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show on March 1, 2016. It is built based on the Volkswagen MQB platform meant for supermini cars and midsize crossovers.
In August of 2019, Audi Philippines brought the Audi Q2 locally to satisfy the demand for luxurious and reliable crossovers.
The Audi Q2 measures 4,191mm long, 1,794mm wide, and 1,548mm tall. The front features a glossy black grille with tapered sides bearing the company’s acclaimed logo. It is matched with a pair of full LED headlights with trimmings on the edges. Its athletic body, made sophisticated with beautiful curves and sleek lines, is designed with a low roofline.
The back is fitted with full LED tail lights presented in a square design and a protruding rear boot.
The Audi Q2 wears 17-inch to 18-inch aluminum wheels offered in five-turbine, five-arm rotor, five-V spoke, five-arm dynamic, and five-arm offroad design.
Though categorized as a subcompact vehicle, the cabin of the Audi Q2 is spacious and can comfortably accommodate four fully grown adults. Its interior is presented in black with a classy vibe. Highlights include gorgeous decorative trims in the center console, dashboard, and interior mirror using Misano Red, a three-spoke steering wheel, advanced thin-film-transistor instrument console that shows necessary information while driving, and dual-zone climate control.
Technology & Safety Features
As an option, the Audi Q2 offers a WiFi hotspot and a sim card installation inside the vehicle for endless internet connection. It also comes with a 5.8 Multimedia Interface, a generous number of airbags, child safety locks, an anti-lock braking system, electronic brake distribution, immobilizer, vehicle stability control system, seatbelt warning, crash sensor, front and side-impact beams, security alarm, and more.
Platform & Chassis
The Audi Q2 is built with a McPherson Strut suspension at the front and a multi-link suspension at the rear. To further enjoy your ride, the company offers upgrades in the suspension and Audi drive select.
Engine & Drivetrain
The Audi Q2 1.0 TFSI S Tronic and the Audi Q2 Sport 1.0 TFSI S Tronic are both fitted with a three-cylinder, 16V DOHC engine with direct injection and turbocharging. Both are also paired with a seven-speed S Tronic transmission and can produce 114 horsepower with 200 Newton meters.
The Audi Q2 Sport 1.4 TFSI S Tronic is equipped with a four-cylinder inline spark-ignition engine. It is also mated with a seven-speed S Tronic transmission and can generate 146 horsepower with 250 Newton meters.
