The Ford Ecosport is a five-door, compact crossover SUV first built in Brazil in 2003. Since then it has become very popular in Asia, North American and even in Russia. Ford Ecosport price in the Philippines starts from P918,000 for the base variant to P1,188,000 for the top-spec model.
For its current, second-generation, Philippine version, the Ecosport is powered by the 1.5-liter gasoline inline-4 engine with the one on the Ambiente and Trend versions making about 121 hp and 150 Nm of torque, while the Titanium version goes up to 123 hp and 150 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels by either a 6-speed automatic or 5-speed manual transmission.
Inside, the crossover of Ford Philippines comes equipped with a touchscreen infotainment system with navigation for the Trend and Titanium trim levels, Bluetooth Connectivity, USB and Aux ports, a CD player, power windows all around, glove box cooling, and of course air conditioning.
Passengers of the Ecosport are kept safe from accidents with the Ecosport’s driver and front passenger airbag, ABS, Stability control for the Trend and Titanium versions, parking sensors and rearview cameras.
The Ford Ecosport competes with the likes of the Mazda CX-3, the Honda HR-V, Kia Soul, Nissan Juke, Subaru XV, and the Chevrolet Trax.
