Paperwork you need when buying a new car

You've currently browsed our page for Cars Van for sale in the Philippines and we think you're on the right way to getting your new car, you might want to have a few things ready.

Like all major purchases, you will have to get some documents ready and submitted before you can drive off with the car of your dreams. Most of these documents relate to financial and ownership particulars so you might want to take note to avoid future inconvenience.

Philkotse.com has listed a few of the most required documents below so you can get yourself ready upon entering the dealership!

Payment Documents

Not everyone can pay in full cash. As a matter of fact, many car dealerships in the Philippines would prefer you make your payment with some sort of bank document instead of cold hard cash, that way they wouldn't have to worry about so much liquid cash moving around the dealership.

As stated above, not everyone can pay in full. Thank goodness then for financing we can now own our dream cars with the power of deferred payments and monthly installments!

All you have to do is bring the necessary bank documents and loan documents to the nearest car dealers in the Philippines, showing that you have been approved and then drive your dream car home

Insurance

The Government has mandated that you have to acquire insurance for your vehicle before you can have it registered.

Whether it be Third-party Liability (TPL) insurance that will cover for hospitalization; or death benefit for a third party in the event of an accident; or Comprehensive insurance that covers the same as TPL but also adds yourself and damage to the car; it is mandatory before a car can be deemed road-worthy.

Driver's License

This is a given and we believe doesn't have to be said out loud but yes, a Driver's License is required before you purchase the Car for sale. Apart from being a good valid ID for the dealership to identify you, they have to know that you actually can legally drive the purchased car out of the lot.

These are the most common documents necessary for making a car purchase in the Philippines. Dealerships may require more documents depending on their own requirements but there are basically what they need to have from you.

Car Title

A car title shows that ownership of the vehicle has been exclusively transferred to you. It must be an official and legal tender that has been notarized and not photocopied.

Registration Certificate

This document is standardized and comes from the Land Transportation Office. It contains many important details about the vehicle such as the chassis and engine number as well as other registration items that proves that the car is properly registered from its region of origin.

If still confusing about what models you will invest in, you can find numerous car ads of different auto brands on Philkotse.com as well. Make sure to utilize our search filter to refine your results and also check our car price list in the Philippines to find the best fits to your own needs and budget.

Thank you for using us and Good luck on your next purchase!
