The Porsche Taycan was initially introduced as a concept car named “Mission E” at the Frankfurt Auto Motor Show in 2015. In 2019, it was officially unveiled at the same event. Its name was derived from a Turkish word which means “lively young horse” as an ode to the steed of the Stuttgart coat of arms in the company’s iconic logo.
In the Philippines, its official local distributor PGA cars Inc. launched the Porsche Taycan in June 2020.
Designed by former Porsche exterior designer Mitja Borket, the body of Porsche Taycan gracefully combines the short-nosed proportions of the company’s other classic models with the lengthened dimensions of their fresher front-engine releases. It is garnished with automatically extending door handles and a wide panoramic fixed glass roof that provides natural lighting.

Its rear boasts a boot lid styled as a short notchback with an eye-catching full-width band glass taillight and turn signal. Supporting its body is a set of sturdy 19-inch to 21-inch wheels depending on the variant.
Stepping inside the Porsche Taycan is a luxurious experience as it is built with the perfect balance of sophistication and comfort. Highlights include a multifunction sports steering wheel that can be upgraded to GT, advanced climate control that comes in dual or four-zone, adjustable ambient lighting to suit your vibe, sport seats that can be automatically adjusted in 14 or 18 way, a 16.8-inch curved touchscreen with surrounded by digital control panels that allows you to pick chassis functions, lighting, etc.
