The British carmaker MG Motors UK Limited offered the MG 3 as the company's entry into the small hatchback segment. The latest MG3 is currently in its second generation.
The first-generation MG 3 was restricted to the Chinese market. It wasn't until the year 2010 that the carmaker grabbed the opportunity to launch the new MG 3 at the Beijing Auto Show, where it was showcased with the nametag of MG Zero Concept car.
The second-gen vehicle was a better version of its China-bound predecessor not just in its design and engine, but in all aspects. Filipino car enthusiasts got to experience the British-made vehicle when the company launched the MG 3 along with the launch of its Birmingham-based showroom.
The MG 3 was showcased together with the MG 350 and MG 5. It was initially introduced with a single 1.3L engine option. Later on, the company decided to add a 1.5L engine variant to the MG 5 lineup. Some of the upgrades for the 2018 model include a power sunroof and a set of 16-inch alloy wheels.
