The Haima S7 was launched at the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition in 2010. It was initially called the Haima 7. In the same year, it was made available in China. In 2013, a facelifted version was released and the company decided to rename it as the Haima S7. In 2015, an upgraded and facelifted model was introduced in the market. A year later, a refreshed Haima S7 was unveiled in October.
