The Haima S7 was launched at the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition in 2010. It was initially called the Haima 7. In the same year, it was made available in China. In 2013, a facelifted version was released and the company decided to rename it as the Haima S7. In 2015, an upgraded and facelifted model was introduced in the market. A year after, a refreshed Haima S7 was unveiled in October.
In the Philippines, an improved Haima S7 was launched in November 2018 at the Laus Event Group Center in San Fernando City, Pampanga. It was graced by the President and CEO of the Laus Group of Companies Mr. Levy P. Laus and the Overseas Marketing Development Director of FAW Haima Automobile Co., Ltd. Mr. Jony Wang.
The Haima S7 measures 4,480mm long, 1,860mm wide, and 1,715mm tall with a 2,619mm wheelbase. It flaunts a gorgeous fascia paired with a European-styled physique. Highlights include the wide grille framed in chrome, a pair of halogen headlights with a leveling system and daytime running lights, fog lights encased in chrome, a mighty front bumper with chrome highlights, a power roof, power exterior rearview windows with a defrosting feature, rear wipers, a pair of wide tail lights, and rear fog lamps.
Completing its athletic and classy look is a set of 16-inch alloy wheels.
The cabin of the Haima S7 is roomy and can comfortably accommodate five fully grown adults. Notable features include dark grey interior trim, dark grey leather seats, eight-way manually adjustable driver’s seat, leather steering wheel with audio control, LCD at the center console, four-way adjustable passengers seats, automatic air conditioning system, dual cup holders at the front, power windows, and auxiliary power point.
The Haima S7 is fitted with a 12-inch trip computer screen with MP3, Bluetooth, USB, and Mobile Internet Connection. It is paired with a four-speaker system.
Safety is guaranteed as it is equipped with a good number of airbags, ABS with EBD, reversing radar, engine immobilizer, tire pressure monitor, child safety lock, advanced warning triangle, central lock, and more.
The Haima S7 is built with a McPherson independent suspension at the front and a multi-link suspension at the rear. Its braking power is assisted with ventilated discs at the front and discs at the rear.
The Haima S7 is a two-wheel-front-drive SUV. Both variants are powered by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder 16V engine paired with either a six-speed automatic transmission or a six-speed manual transmission. It can produce 185 horsepower with 230 Newton meters of torque.
