Custom 1970 Chevrolet “Specter” Nova
Body
This custom modified 1970 Chevy Nova is the only one of its kind in the Philippines, the color is “Tierra del Fuego Grey” (2008 Mercedes Maybach). The body integrates stimulus provided by the ’69 Camaro in the lower front valence with its round signal lights and shaved front and rear bumpers. Camaro taillights are grafted into the hind end of the car to give it a more harmonious and aggressive look. The grill, window frames and shaved bumpers are painted matte black. The body modifications eject the car from the world of chromed, twinkly faced, grandfatherly look blandness and brings it to a darker place; a place where normally straight-laced men could envision themselves to become renegade outlaws.
Engine
The full and throbbing sound comes from a completely overhauled Chevy 5.7 liter, 350cu, V8, which produces approx. 380Hp. The engine is set up with a brand new 4 barrel 650 Edelbrock Carburetor and has been dressed up with a black Chevy performance air filter and corresponding valve covers and is outfitted with a HEI (High energy ignition) distributor. The engine achieves additional cooling by two electric auxiliary fans.
Front disc brakes
Power steering
Transmission
The transmission is a fully overhauled Turbo-Hydramatic 350 three-speed automatic.
Interior
The whole interior has been completely blacked out to be in line with the dark gray paint and overall belligerent look of the car, to match the matte black bumpers and window frames. The dashboard features Comp II LED performance gauges by “Marshall”. High-neck, racing inspired seats have been set up over new carpets and a “B&M - QuickSilver” shifter for easy handling has been installed.
The car has air conditioning and a 4 speaker system with under seat sub-woofer. The door panels, foot wells, center console, et cetera have been newly upholstered.
