The BAIC MZ45 is an extra-long minivan assembled in China. It features a front bumper for the engine – giving it a more contemporary look. The hood of the vehicle has a couple of creases highlighting the dual front grille with mesh design. The halogen headlights on the sides come with levelizer, and underneath is the front foglamps.

The side profile of the vehicle features turns signal lights, side view mirror, sliding doors on both sides, and aerodynamic creases that give a bit of a sporty vibe. The back part of the vehicle has a flat tailgate that serves as the entrance to the rear part of the cabin.

The interior of the BAIC MZ45 comes with the familiar streamlined dashboard setting. The analog instrument cluster serves as the background of the three-spoke steering wheel. The center console has AC vents radio with USB, CD, MP3 connectivity, buttons, knobs for controls, brake lever, and a manual gear shifter.

Sound is transmitted via the four-speaker sound system. The cabin also comes with rear AC vents and control, so rear passengers also get cold airflow. BAIC offers the MZ45 with multiple seat combinations. It can be had with a two-seater van for commercial and cargo use; seven or eight-seaters for ultimate comfort with sufficient shoulder and legroom without compromising cargo space; the other option is the 11-seater trim with 2+3+3+3  layout.

Because of its price tag, the BAIC MZ45 only comes with a few tech and safety features. It includes the four-way adjustable driver and front passenger seats, and a small LCD mounted at the instrument panel. In terms of infotainment, the vehicle is equipped with a radio with MP3, USB, CD capabilities, and four-speakers.

The vehicle is also equipped with electronic side view mirrors, remote central door lock keyless entry, power window, and a cooler inside the glove box.

In terms of safety, the vehicle is employed with remote keyless entry, remote door lock, load sensing valve, and three-point seatbelts. It may not be packed with many driver-assist features. However, it still has front safety features built with reinforced bumper beam, advanced-engineered front crumple zone, and front-face collision energy-diverting stiffener.

The BAIC MZ45 is a China-assembled 5-door minivan that can accommodate up to 11 occupants. It has a length of 4495 mm, a width of 1636, a height of 1912 mm, a wheelbase of 2920 mm, and a ground clearance of 140 mm.

The BAIC MZ45’s suspension system is made up of independent MacPherson struts with coil spring for the front setup and rigid axle leaf spring with shock absorber for the rear.

The braking power is managed by discs brakes for the front and drum brakes for the rear.

The BAIC MZ45 is powered by a 1.2 L Gasoline Engine, 4 Cylinder 16 Valve– the same powerplant employed in the MZ40. The powerplant generates 86 horsepower and 108 Newton-meter of torque. The powerplant is paired to a five-speed manual transmission. The torque produced by this Chinese minivan is enough for its gross weight of 1850 kilograms. However, it may feel insufficient with full load and weight. 

The mileage of this vehicle changes depending on the load, but it has an excellent fuel economy that only consumes a liter of fuel for ten kilometers. The engine has a fuel capacity of 45 liters.
