The Rolls-Royce Wraith was first introduced at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show. In April 2014, the nameplate made its debut to the Philippine automotive market at the 10th Manila International Auto Show. It is offered in one variant which is the Rolls-Royce Wraith V12 AT.
The Wraith carries the trademark Rolls-Royce DNA that is evident from its elegant lines, classic proportions, and the iconic Spirit of Ecstasy ornament. Its dynamic silhouette is further emphasized by the fastback roofline that elevates the luxury sedan’s style, character, and art. One its most unique aesthetic features are the rear-hinged doors which is a signature Rolls-Royce element that likewise serves as a nod to the traditional luxury vehicles in history.
With new LED lighting systems and 21-inch alloy wheels, the Rolls-Royce Wraith successfully merges timelessness with contemporary elements that make up one of the most stylish premium vehicles in the market.
Stepping inside the Rolls-Royce Wraith is a clear embodiment of the fine craftsmanship the British brand employs. The spacious interior is designed with modern touches, a range of comfort features, and a slew of premium finishes. Canadel wood paneling runs throughout the instrument panel and doors, while the iconic clock sits right in the middle of the dashboard. Seats are wrapped in the finest leather upholstery, sewn to perfection. On the roof lining is the signature Starlight Headliner that is composed of thousands of tiny LED lights that create a blanket of stars.
One of the most modern features in the Rolls-Royce Wraith is a 10.3-inch high definition multimedia display. It serves as the interface for audio, communication, and navigation controls that also comes with a trip computer.
Connected to the multimedia screen are 360-degree cameras that provide a bird’s eye view of the surroundings as the vehicle moves along. It gives the driver more ease in navigating through more difficult roads and parking areas. As standard, the luxury sedan is equipped with an Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Force Distribution and Brake Assist, Electronic Brake Distribution, Front and Rear parking sensors, push start button, lane departure warning system, and automatic high beams.
The 2-door, 4-seater luxury sedan is furnished with a highly sophisticated suspension system with self-levelling, roll-cancelling air suspension, and adaptive dampers. Based on the Ghost platform, it comes with double wishbone suspension at the front and multi-link arrangement at the rear. Stopping power comes from disc brakes all around.
Powering the Rolls-Royce Wraith is a 6.6-liter twin-turbo V12 gasoline engine which produces an astounding 624hp and 800 Nm of torque. It is mated to an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission that sends power to the rear wheels. The intelligent gearbox uses GPS to read the road ahead and provide shifting patterns in advance, avoiding any sudden alterations and movements from the vehicle.
