Rolls-Royce Cullinan Launch
The Rolls-Royce Cullinan was formally introduced to the Philippine automotive market on March 13, 2019, at the Manila Polo Club. Autohub Group brought in a sole variant of the luxury SUV for Manila’s elite.
Rolls-Royce Cullinan Exterior
The Cullinan follows the signature Rolls-Royce aesthetic of a rugged yet sophisticated look. Its distinct silhouette is composed of a strong, angular body, confident lines, and the prominent Pantheon grille that are unique to the British luxury brand. Angular laser LED headlamps that guarantee visibility of up to 600 meters and LED daytime running lamps flank the front fascia.
A Rolls-Royce would not be complete without its iconic insignia that stands on the hood. Character lines run to the rear with coach doors and rounded LED tail lamps. Finishing the look are 22-inch alloy wheels.
Rolls-Royce Cullinan Interior
As expected, the Cullinan cabin follows the traditional Rolls-Royce layout decked in a plethora of high-quality materials that are soft to the touch. It embodies the brand’s promise of uncompromised comfort and luxury. The dashboard, center console, and doors are trimmed with premium leather, and handcrafted wood, and accentuated with metal.
A few standard Rolls-Royce features include the umbrella that pops out from passenger doors and the signature picnic tables. The rear seat configuration could either be a 5-seater lounge setup most suitable for families, or a four-seater individual setup with captain seats. All seats are ventilated and come with massage features. Rear seats can be folded flat to increase the cargo capacity to 1,930 liters—the largest trunk volume in its class.
To top it all off, the SUV takes luxury to a new level with a Fixed Rear Center Console that contains a drinks cabinet with the brand’s trademark whisky glasses and decanter at the front, and champagne flutes and refrigerator in the rear.
Technology & Safety Features
In true Rolls-Royce fashion, the Cullinan is equipped with modern technological features that make each drive comfortable and safe. Among these is a large touchscreen infotainment system that is connected to a studio-grade 18-channel, 18-speaker Bespoke audio system. Driver assistance and safety features such as a four-camera system with panoramic, 360-degree, and helicopter views are connected to the screen.
The Rolls-Royce Cullinan comes with a collection of advanced safety features which include Night Vision and Vision Assist technologies with pedestrian or wildlife warning. As standard, the luxury SUV is furnished with an Anti-lock Brake System with electronic brake distribution and brake assist, electronic stability control, traction control, forward collision warning, front and rear parking sensors, lane departure warning, and tire pressure monitoring system.
Platform & Chassis
Rolls-Royce vehicles are known to provide a magic carpet-like ride experience and the Cullinan is no exception. Through its advanced chassis technology and a unique aluminum spaceframe, the SUV can handle the most radical landscapes with ease. In front is a double-wishbone complemented by a five-link axle at the rear. Electronically activated anti-roll bars and dampers in both front and rear add to the luxurious ride experience. Stopping power comes from disc brakes all around.
Engine & Drivetrain
The Rolls-Royce Cullinan stands true to the brand’s trademark strength, elegance, and power. Under the hood of the premium SUV is a Twin-turbo V12 gasoline engine that produces an astounding 563 hp and 850 Nm torque. Power is sent to all wheels through an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission. Four-wheel steering also comes as a standard, making the Cullinan the ultimate off-roader among luxury vehicles.
