Depending on the seating capacity, the JAC Sunray measures 4,900 to 5,995mm long, 2,080mm to  2,098mm wide, and  2,340mm to 2,645mm tall. It features a robust body exuding a European-inspired body made by the JAC Italian design center.

Exterior highlights include a pair of curved height-adjustable eagle eye headlights, front and rear fog lights, wide radiator grille with five chrome slots, a broad dark-colored front bumper with air vent, protective side moldings, black-colored side mirror and door handles, durable sliding doors, high roof, a back door that opens 180-degrees, and a pair of 15-inch steel wheels with covers. 

The JAC Sunray offers an ultra-spacious cabin courtesy of its 2,960mm to 3,570mm wheelbase. Notable highlights include gray or cream-colored interior with faux leather trimming, 15 to 17 seats with adjustable backrest, an efficient dual-zone air conditioning system, independent warm air vent per passenger, electric windows, interior rearview mirror with an anti-dazzle feature, a multifunction leather steering wheel with controls, contemporary center control, and an easy-to-read instrument panel.

The JAC Sunray is fitted with an android multimedia touchscreen head unit for infotainment. In terms of safety, it is built with a good number of airbags, an anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution, three-point seatbelts, center control lock, rear parking sensors, and more.

The JAC Sunray is equipped with a MacPherson independent suspension at the front and steel spring suspension at the rear. Its braking power is assisted by discs at the front and drums at the rear.

The JAC Sunray is a front-engine, rear-wheel-drive vehicle. All variants are powered by a 2.8-liter four-cylinder 16-valve engine mated with a five-speed manual transmission. It is guaranteed to emit 119 horsepower with 250 Newton meters of torque.
