In 2014 during the Beijing Auto Show, the JAC M3 was introduced. It was a near-production concept. The production version came out in the market in 2015. It was positioned on top of the Refine M2 compact MPV. The M3 gained controversies as it was said to resemble the Nissan NV200. Its facelifted version came out later with an updated front architecture. The facelift makes the M3 in line with the rest of the refine MPV models.
The exterior of the JAC M3 has a front brake disc, power-adjustable exterior rear-view mirror, rear window wiper, integrated antenna, chrome grille, and rear window defogger and it has drums for the rear brake. It has rear fog lights and adjustable headlights. It also has an outside rearview mirror turn indicator, front fog lights, and wheel covers. The body size of an M3 is 4,645 x 4,140 x 1,885 mm and its wheelbase is 2,810mm. It can bring satisfaction to different demands whether for a family party, for cargo, and for whatever purpose.
JAC M3 is a 7-seater vehicle with interiors made of fabric surfaces with ample legroom. The third row is wide enough despite the wide storage space. Though it is said to accommodate 8 passengers, for comfort reasons, it is best to sit two people on the third row. Benches on the second and third row are well-padded for comfort. However, there are no adjustments in order to slide the benches or to bend the backrests. But for more cargo space, these benches can be folded flat. There are ISOFIX mounts on the second row. The third row is split, 50/50. It can also be folded in order to widen the storage space.
The JAC M3 has its own set of tech features. It includes a CD player, AM/FM/Radio, front speakers, a USB and auxiliary input, touch screen, Bluetooth connectivity and a DVD player. Aside from the tech features are the safety features that come with it. It includes an anti-lock braking system, child safety locks driver, passenger and side airbags, rear seat belts, seat belt warning and a brake assist. It also has a crash sensor, door ajar warning, side and front impact beams, vehicle stability control system, engine check warning, EBD, height adjustable front seat belts and parking sensors.
The JAC M3 has an MPV body type with an M segment and a unibody construction. It has five doors and a seating of 2+2+3. It is 4,715mm in length, 1,740 mm wide ad 1,900 mm in height. Its wheelbase is 2,810 mm and curb weight of 1,670kg. Its fuel tank capacity is 55 L.
