3. About Kia Motors
Kia Motors was originally called Kyungsung Precision Industry, which was founded way back in 1944. The year after, 1945, Kia’s first plant opened in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul and in 1946, another plant followed in Busan.
The first passenger pick-up it released was The Brisa, which was produced in 1973 and released the year after. After several years, Kia’s most notable car, Kia Pride, started its production in 1986 and reached the US in 1987. In that same year, Kia’s exports exceeded 100 million dollars.
