Great Wall Motor Cannon 2024 Price Philippines & Official Promos

The Great Wall Motor (GWM) Cannon is a body-on-frame, midsize pickup truck. In the Philippine market, it has six different trims. There’s the Pilot 4x2 MT, Pilot 4x4 MT, Lux 4x2 AT, Lux 4x4 AT, SLux 4x2 AT, and SLux 4x4 AT. These variants then come with a price ranging from Php 1,048,000 to Php 1,598,000.

The 2024 GWM Cannon is 5,410mm long, 1935mm wide, and 1,886mm in height. It also has a wheelbase length of 3,230mm.

Propelling this pickup truck model is a 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine that can generate up to 161 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. Depending on the variant, it gets a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission. Trims may either come in 4x2 or 4x4 as well. 

Locally, the 2024 GWM Cannon rivals the Toyota Hilux, Mitsubishi Strada, Nissan Navara, Mazda BT-50, Isuzu D-Max, Ford Ranger, Maxus T60, and Foton Thunder.

GWM Cannon Launch

The GWM Cannon pickup truck was introduced to the Philippines in 2023. It was launched with six variants. And the GWM Cannon 2024 price ranges from Php 1,048,000 to Php 1,598,000. 

GWM Cannon Exterior

Besides its robust-looking design, the top-spec Cannon also boasts a number of exterior features. These include LED headlamps, LED taillights, and power-folding side mirrors. 

Depending on the trim, it then rides on a set of 17-inch wheels, or 18-inch wheels. 

GWM Cannon Interior

The Cannon gets a well-arranged interior for up to five occupants. A dash of sophistication is added thanks to its diamond pattern stitching on its leather seats and on its soft-touch surfaces. 

Other than those, the interior of the Cannon’s top-spec trim also gets a push-to-start button, a digital gauge cluster, an electronically adjustable front seat, etc. 

GWM Cannon Tech & Safety

Keeping the top-spec Cannon’s occupants safe is a number of advanced safety features. Chief among these are adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, and lane change assist, among others. 

Other safety features present on the Cannon are anti-lock braking, traction control, stability control, vehicle dynamic control, hill-start assist, hill-descent control, etc. 
Handling entertainment for the Cannon is a 9-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The top-spec models then get six speakers. 

GWM Cannon Chassis

The suspension system of the 2024 Cannon is a double-wishbone type for the front and a leaf spring for the rear. Braking for this model is handled by discs for all four wheels. 

GWM Cannon Engine

Propelling the engine of the 2024 GWM Cannon is a 2.0-liter turbodiesel that can generate 161 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. 

Depending on the variant, the Cannon may either come with a six-speed manual gearbox or an eight-speed automatic transmission. 

All trims of this model either come with a 4x2 drivetrain or a 4x4 drivetrain. 

The GWM Cannon has yet to join the "500Nm" club, but its turbodiesel is powerful enough to compete against many other pickup truck models. It is also on the upper end of the spectrum regarding on-board and safety features.
