The automaker brought 300 examples only for the Philippine market.

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) has unveiled a new limited edition for the Xpander Cross called the Outdoor Edition. As the name suggests, the model is ideal for people who have adventurous spirits ready to take on the off-roads with the MPV.

Exclusive to the Xpander Cross Outdoor Edition are a new tailgate spoiler, tailgate garnish, mudguards, and a rear bumper protector. The company also offers the variant with a new and unique color option called Green Bronze Metallic.

To take it up a notch, Mitsubishi Motors partners with Ogawa, a Japanese outdoor brand, to provide off-road equipment. These include a side tarp tent, two camping chairs with a travel case, and a mesh table (adjustable height) with a carrying bag.

The Outdoor Edition looks ready for adventure

Since this edition is based on the Xpander Cross, the vehicle is equipped with a seven-inch infotainment touchscreen that supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This can help provide entertainment anytime and anywhere when going off the road. It also features a standard seven-seater configuration so no one gets left behind.

No powertrain upgrades were mentioned. As such, it is safe to assume this limited edition still runs on the same 1.5-liter gasoline engine good for 103 horsepower and 141 Nm of torque. The engine sends power to the front wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission.

Only 300 examples will be sold

MMPC is offering the Xpander Cross Outdoor Edition for Php 1,363,000, a Php 35,000 difference over the standard model. Only 300 examples will be sold, and they are now available at all Mitsubishi dealerships nationwide.

This, however, isn't the first limited edition of the facelifted Xpander Cross. In celebration of the MMPC's 60 years in the country, the automaker rolled out an anniversary edition, which also had an off-road theme. It was unveiled at this year's Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) last April 2023.
