Geely Philippines announced that Mary Anne Dela Vega is the winner of a brand new Geely Okavango through the “Dream Ride Like No Other” promo.
A new owner joins the Geely Okavango club
Dela Vega, who is from Project 4, Quezon City, received the vehicle during a handover ceremony held at Geely North EDSA. The event was joined by Geely Philippines President Yugo Kiyofuji and Geely North EDSA General Manager Pinggoy Bitangcor.
The variant Dela Vega won is the top-of-the-line Urban Plus. This means the vehicle is equipped with Urban Plus-exclusive features including ADB (Adaptive Drive Beam) matrix LED headlamps, rain-sensing and anti-pinch panoramic sunroof, a sunglass holder, and a 12.3-inch full digital instrument cluster.
Other amenities the new owner gets to enjoy are a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with eight speakers, leather seats, a 6-way power adjustable driver seat, 4-way power adjustable passenger seat, and a 360-degree camera.
The Okavango is the ideal vehicle for Dela Vega's growing family
The Geely Okavango is powered by a 1.5-liter 3-cylinder turbocharged gasoline engine paired with a 48-volt electric motor, making it a mild hybrid model. It is capable of generating a combined output of 190 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels via a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission.
Thanks to the 7-seater configuration, the Geely Okavango is able to provide ample room for Dela Vega’s growing family.
“Winning this incredible car is a dream come true for me and my family. We are blessed to have the opportunity to experience the premium features and spaciousness that the Geely Okavango offers,” said Dela Vega.
The biggest model in Geely's Philippine lineup
Dela Vega is not the first one to win a Geely Okavango out of a promo. Last year, the Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC) handed lucky winners Mischell Gonzales and Ronnick Goyal brand new Okavango units each through its 2022 Happy Holideas promo raffle. The promo also gave 20 winners Php 100,000 each.

Know more about Geely Okavango 2024
The Geely Okavango 2023 is the first seven-seater from Geely Philippines for the Philippine market, which also makes it the biggest model in the lineup so far. Its quirky name was taken from the Okavango Delta, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa and the 1,000th World Heritage Site recognized by UNESCO. Despite its unibody platform, Geely’s third model for Filipino customers is actually longer and wider than mainstream contenders in the truck-based midsize SUV category, measuring 4,835mm long, 1,900mm wide, and 1,785mm high. Ground clearance, however, is at a rather low 194mm.
The Geely Okavango’s price Philippines ranges from Php 1,523,000 for the base Comfort variant to Php 1,765,000 for the range-topping Urban Plus. Rivals in its segment include the Toyota Fortuner, Mitsubishi Montero Sport, Nissan Terra, Isuzu D-Max, and Ford Ranger.
