Maintenance is an essential part of the car ownership experience as it keeps vehicles running in tip-top shape and for a longer time. Foton Philippines is improving its services by bringing maintenance closer to its customers with the turnover of two EC Mobile Service vehicles.
The mobile after-sales program got up to North Luzon
The EC Mobile Service is an after-sales program that uses vehicles to perform repair and preventive maintenance services (PMS) outside of the dealership. Dealer partners in La Union and Isabela are the latest to receive EC Mobile Service vehicles which are expected to enhance the brand’s after-sales in Northern Luzon.
“With these after-sales support vehicles, we show everyone that we don’t stop at just making sales,” said FMPI President Erroll Dueñas. “We offer our exclusive EC Mobile Service and continue expanding its reach while making sure that there is a generous supply of parts whenever the customers need it.”
FMPI converts a Foton Gratour MT to an EC Mobile unit to make the after-sales program work. The EC Mobile units carry a full array of specialized tools, spare parts, and equipment. It also offers 24/7 accessibility to customers so they can feel confident driving on the road anytime or anywhere.
Foton reaches out to its customers
The EC Mobile Service Program has been around since 2018 and continues to expand to more Foton dealerships in the country. It shows the Chinese automaker’s commitment to innovating and improving customer experience. This recent turnover follows the first select batch of dealerships that extends this assistance.
“We will be taking our after-sales to next level. So instead of benchmarking, we are now the benchmarker,” said La Union Dealer Principal Mr. Khenrick Tan. “It’s gonna help us a lot since we’re very active in visiting our fleets and making caravans. Now, it’s gonna make it easier for us and easier for our clients.”

The Foton Gratour 2023 is a series of configurations that includes Wingvan, F-Van, MPV, and Dropside. It is available in the Philippines in six variants and the Foton Gratour Philippines price starts from Php 520,000 and goes at Php 708,000. Powering the vehicle is a 1.5-liter DAM15DR gasoline engine that is paired to a 5-speed manual transmission only. Depending on the variant, the engine can produce either 110 horsepower and 142 Nm of torque, or 114 horsepower and 150 Nm of torque.
In terms of dimensions, the largest numbers are found on the MPV configuration which spans 4,525 mm long, 1,925 mm wide, and 2,145 mm high, with a wheelbase rated at 2,650 mm. Locally, the Gratour competes against the likes of the Suzuki APV, Kaicene Honor S, and BAIC M50S.
