These premium models just moved several notches higher.

The crossover/SUV market has grown significantly in recent years, pressing automakers to continue developing their respective models in the said segment. Mercedes-Benz Philippines is one of these as the company launched three updated versions of its crossovers.

First on the list is the automaker’s entry into the subcompact luxury crossover segment, the Mercedes-Benz GLA. This model is now available with a Progressive variant, a design trim that adds rugged characteristics to the German subcompact crossover. It is also fitted with a 10.25-inch MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) multimedia system. Other updates include more muscular vehicle shoulders, 19-inch 10-spoke light alloy wheels, and seats fully decked out in Artico leather.

If you prefer a compact luxury crossover, you can write the updated Mercedes-Benz GLB on your shortlist. The improved version gets new LED headlamps and a larger 10.25-inch MBUX multimedia display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Moreover, the system is paired with a 9-speaker advanced sound system.

Moving on to the German marque's midsize luxury crossover offering in the local market, the Mercedes-Benz GLE now comes with the brand’s MBUX infotainment system featuring a widescreen cockpit and dual 12.3-inch displays. These additions should enhance the premium feel of the cabin by integrating a modern-looking dashboard.

As for performance, the GLE is powered by an inline-4 diesel engine with 245 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. Mercedes-Benz Philippines claims that the model’s acceleration is more powerful and efficient than ever. A 9G Tronic (9-speed automatic transmission) is used to send power to all four wheels via the 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system.
