Sojitz G Auto PH president reveals plans for Geely PH growth

The brand will strive for a 5-star quality customer experience.

Sojitz G Auto Philippines (SGAP) Naoyuki Takeda has shared the company’s plans for positive growth for the Geely car brand in the local market. This was shared by Takeda during a social event at the Geely North EDSA Showroom last January 29, 2024.

According to Takeda, the company will be making changes to reaffirm its commitment to aftersales services. He added that there is already evidence for this change by citing Geely’s over 90 percent service fill rate, as well as its improved capability in meeting the demand for spare parts. 

The SGAP president also pledges that the company will work towards providing a “5-star customer experience.” This, he says, will become his top priority as the leader of the company.

Takeda likewise addressed the motoring media who were present during the event. On this note, he encouraged automotive journalists to actively engage in open conversations with the company. 

“Your insights are invaluable, and your feedback is crucial. Let’s have an open conversation, share ideas, and collectively build something extraordinary,” Takeda said.

Last but not least, Takeda stressed the importance of remembering that Geely’s growth is a shared journey with its clients. 

“We see our role not just as automotive providers but as contributors to the dreams and aspirations of individuals seeking a better and more fulfilling life through their vehicles,” Takeda added. 

At the event, the brand also previewed the Geely Geometry C electric vehicle (EV). The SGAP president declared this new model as a symbol of a “paradigm shift” for the brand. It is likewise positioned as a new standard setter in the local automotive landscape.

Not much was revealed about this upcoming Geely EV model, but the global-spec version features a 70 kWh battery pack that provides up to 460 km of range and a maximum output of 201 horsepower. It also features a slick exterior design in the form of a crossover SUV.
