The all-new Hyundai Santa Fe 2019 has been recently debuted at Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show 2018 (GIIAS). According to the latest car news, the 4th-gen model is offered 2 versions including the XG and the GLS with 2 engine options.
The former is a 2.4L MPI naturally aspirated petrol powertrain mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission while the latter is a 2.2L R-series CRDi turbodiesel unit. However, the Indonesian market will not be offered a 2.0L T-GDI petrol turbo engine.

The new Hyundai Santa Fe 2019 measures 1,890 mm in width, 4,770 mm in length, which is 10 mm wider and 80 mm longer than the 3rd-gen model. The car is equipped with a 2,765 mm wheelbase and 19’’ wheels.
Walking around, the new Santa Fe now gets multi-tier lighting with main beams and LED daytime running lights, plus the newest “Cascading Grille” signature of the Korean car brand. Moving to the rear, the tail lights look quite similar to the OLED scales of BMW and the rear’s cover seems to get a bit Mercedes-style crystal elements.
Stepping inside, the cabin shows a more premium feel than the previous model’s. It now receives improved rearward visibility with 41% larger rear quarter glass and also offers a more generous space for the 3rd and 2nd seating rows.

The middle row’s legroom is increased by 38 mm, the headroom is added 22 mm while the seat base gets extra 18 mm in height. Additionally, the 2nd seats are now armed with a fresh one-touch folding function to help users access to the 3rd seating row much easier.
Earlier this year, the 4th-gen Santa Fe also made its way to Manila International Auto Show 2018 - one of the biggest annual car events in the Philippines. Although the SUV's official price tag has yet to be disclosed, the Korean automaker hinted that it could be somewhere between P2.5M and P3M.

The 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe is a five-door seven-seater mid-size crossover SUV. In the Philippine market, its three available variants are the entry-level GLS 2WD, the GLS AWD, and the top-spec Calligraphy AWD. These are priced at Php 2,410,000, Php 2,540,000, and Php 3,100,000 respectively.
Propelling the Santa Fe are two powertrains. For the Calligraphy, it gets a 2.5-liter turbocharged Smartstream gasoline engine that can output 277 horsepower and 422 Nm of torque. The GLS trims meanwhile, get a naturally-aspirated 2.5-liter Smartstream gasoline mill that puts out 191 hp and 246 Nm of torque.
Both GLS trims use an eight-speed automatic transmission, while the top-spec Calligraphy variant uses an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. The GLS is available in both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive (AWD), while the Calligraphy is exclusively AWD.
Size-wise, the GLS trims are 4,830mm long, 1,900mm wide, and 1,770mm in height. The Calligraphy has the same length and width, but it is slightly taller at 1,780mm.
Locally, the Hyundai Santa Fe competes against the Jeep Grand Cherokee, Subaru Evoltis, GAC GS8, and Ford Explorer, among others.
