BYD Philippines opens flagship EV dealership in Quezon City

BYD Philippines announced the opening of its first and largest dealership under AC Motors in Quezon City.

The BYD Quezon Avenue is positioned as the brand’s flagship dealership, with an elevated customer lounge experience and a dedicated new-car release area. Previous distributor Solar Transport and Automotive Resources Corp. will manage the dealership as part of a new partnership with BYD.

“The BYD Quezon Avenue flagship dealership is a testament to the strong partnership of AC Motors and Solar Transport, and our commitment to our valued customers to provide service that they can rely on,” said Solar Transport President and CEO (chief executive officer) Mark Andrew Tieng.

Situated on a 4,000 sqm lot, the new flagship dealership is built with a showroom that highlights the Chinese automaker's electric vehicle (EV) models including the Dolphin hatchback, Han full-size sedan, and Tang seven-seater midsize crossover.

BYD continues its electrification efforts

Another crossover EV is joining the lineup with the Atto 3 by the end of the year. It is looking to offer a range of up to 500 km, which could theoretically go to Baguio and back to Manila on a single charge.

Solar Transport assures each BYD EV will have access to after-sales service and support including an extensive battery warranty coverage of eight years or 150,000 km, whichever comes first.

“The opening of BYD’s first flagship store in the Philippines not only illustrates the importance BYD attaches to the Philippine market, but also is an important step for BYD to deepen its localization in the Philippines,” said BYD Philippines and BYD Singapore General Manager James Ng.

The BYD Quezon Avenue is located at 718 Quezon Avenue Corner G. Araneta St., Quezon City. It is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday to Saturday.

The new dealership is only the first of 12 outlets planned to rise in the next 12 months. The upcoming dealerships will bolster AC Motors’ commitment to expanding electrification in the country.
