The all-new Omoda 7, which was teased prior to its reveal, follows the youthful design of the smaller Omoda 5. It likewise sports sharp LED headlamps, a slick side profile, and a black-colored roof. As per the company, this look was cooked up to directly appeal to younger buyers, aka the “Gen Z” crowd.

Being a Gen Z-oriented product, the Omoda 7 also boasts plenty of onboard technologies and high-tech features. The brand has yet to share an exhaustive list of these, but it gets a 15.6-inch touchscreen linked to a total of 14 speakers.

The 14-speaker set, Omoda says, can provide a “concert hall” quality sound experience. This is further enhanced by the Omoda 7’s cabin intelligent fragrance system and active noise cancellation system, all of which can create a “fresh, serene, and comfortable travel space.”

The Omoda 7 is likewise touted to be able to meet global 5-star safety standards. For this, it uses energy-absorbing compartments, “6S airbag retention technology,” a body with strong torsional stiffness, as well as an array of advanced driver assist features (ADAS).

Regarding its engine, it uses the brand’s latest hybrid powertrain architecture. No output figures were shared by Omoda just yet, but it has an estimated range of 1,200 kilometers on a full tank. This hybrid also boasts a thermal efficiency of 44.5 percent, while the battery alone can provide up to 95 kilometers of electric-only range.
