SMC said that the newly opened NAIAX Tramo access ramp is expected to ease traffic in the area and provide seamless access to the country’s main international gateway and other areas.

SMC president and CEO Ramon S. Ang noted that aside from improving traffic flow within the vicinity of the airport, the new NAIAX Tramo access ramp will also provide another route option for motorists heading to Parañaque City and Cavite.

“This Tramo access ramp provides another option for motorists heading to the airport, and other areas in Parañaque City and Cavite province. We believe it can help relieve overall traffic congestion in the area, and improve traffic flow within the vicinity of the airport,” Ang said.

The NAIAX Tramo access ramp can benefit motorists who are driving at EDSA southbound (coming from Makati) or northbound (coming from the Entertainment City).

Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Manuel Bonoan shared that the new access ramp would enhance the efficiency of NAIAX by providing better access to motorists bound for the airport.

“The Tramo access ramp has been in San Miguel’s drawing board for a long, long time because they knew it would enhance the efficiency of NAIA expressway, and improve the mobility of motorists going to the airport,” Bonoan said.

Bonoan also credited SMC for supporting the government’s efforts to build vital infrastructure to sustain the country's economic growth. He added that further improvements on NAIAX are currently being studied by the DPWH to further improve traffic flow at airport terminals.

“The Department of Public Works and Highways will always be there to support and implement these projects to improve traffic flow especially here in Metro Manila,” Bonoan added.

The NAIAX is an 11-kilometer elevated toll road that connects the Skyway System to the three passengers terminals of NAIA, the country's main international gateway. It also provides access to Pasay City’s Entertainment City, Macapagal Boulevard, Sucat Road in Parañaque City, and the road network to Cavite province.
