History
BAIC Motor is a passenger car maker that is one of the principal subsidiaries of the BAIC Group, officially known as Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Co., Ltd. It is an enterprise state-owned by the Chinese and is a holding company of machine manufacturers and various automobiles situated in Beijing, China. BAIC also produces Mercedes and Hyundai-branded vehicles sold on the Chinese market by Beijing Benz and Beijing Hyundai joint ventures.
Development
BAIC Motor is often ranked as the fourth or fifth-largest Chinese carmaker by volume. The company also boasts various successful passenger vehicle joint ventures with foreign firms. Local presence
BAIC PH was introduced to the local market at the 2024 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) under a new distributor: the Laus Auto Group. At the said event, the brand rolled out five models. These are the B40 Ragnar, B60 Beaumont, B80 Wagon, X55 Verve, and the X7 Grandeza.
