S-Presso or Dzire? Suzuki PH makes it hard to choose within P500K range

Updated Aug 20, 2020 | Same topic: Car Deals and Promotions

The Dzire is really looking attractive nowadays thanks to these promos.

If you aren’t aware by now, Suzuki, the small car specialist, has already released the brilliant Suzuki S-Presso to the Philippine market. Currently, it is the most affordable car in the market and coupled with its unique looks, it appears that it is indeed poised to become a best-seller. And for all we know, it already is.

Besides the S-Presso though, Suzuki Philippines also has the Suzuki Dzire sedan, which is also priced at the sub-Php 600k range. And if you’re familiar with it, you’ll know that it’s a versatile little car with a lot more flair and features than the S-Presso, albeit a little more expensive.

So why are we talking about the Suzuki Dzire?

Remember that Doraemon-Suzuki collab involving the “Shall We Home Test Drive” program? Well, apart from receiving cool Doraemon merch from participating in the said initiative, Suzuki PH has recently announced that it is also giving away even more exclusive Doraemon goodies upon your purchase of any variant of the Suzuki Dzire. And best of all is this is available until December 31, 2020 so there’s a big chunk of time allotted for the promo in question.

More cool Doraemon goodies!

To further sweeten the deal though, Suzuki is also offering an additional Php 25,000 discount for the Dzire GA Variant. As such, this might make the aforementioned sedan as attractive a buy as the Suzuki S-Presso. The Dzire GA retails normally for Php 549,900, and like the S-Presso, it also uses a five-speed manual transmission.

But the Dzire does make a bit more in terms of power, and as we’ve said, it has more space, and more creature comforts available to it. And remember, the Dzire also has other variants (with automatic transmissions), that might be more to your liking regardless of their slightly heftier price tags.

Dzire Variants
Price
Dzire GA 1.2L M/T
Php 549,900
Dzire GL 1.2L M/T

Dzire GL+ 1.2L AGS (Auto Gear Shift)
Php 698,000

S-Presso Variants

So, will you stretch your budget just slightly to get stuff like rear aircon vents, more cargo space, and more horsepower the Dzire offers? Or will you stick to the slightly more affordable but cute, and easy to drive S-Presso?

We’ll leave that up to you.

Apart from the Doraemon merch, as well as the discount for the Dzire GA, you’ll also be glad to know that Suzuki PH is also extending the “Back 4 More Deals” promo until August 31, 2020. Here are the details for the aforementioned promo:
