L300 is the top-selling Mitsubishi in August with 699 units sold

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) managed to sell a total of 699 units of the L300 during the month of August. The Xpander and Strada completes the top three best-selling Mitsubishi last month.

The Mitsubishi L300 is a versatile vehicle that can be used for both family adventures and business needs. Powering the L300 is a 2.2-liter 4N14 diesel engine capable of producing 98 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque.

“We at Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation are optimistic that the economy will continue to improve in the succeeding months. We are geared to provide better offerings to the market to support their vehicle needs during these trying times,” said Mr. Mutsuhiro Oshikiri, president and CEO of MMPC.

One of the many factors why the Mitsubishi topped the August sales is the growing business for delivery services. Due to the quarantine restrictions, people are limited to go out and grab what they need. Only delivery services are allowed to move goods around the country under strict sanitation protocols.

Coming in second, the Mitsubishi Xpander

The Mitsubishi Xpander comes second in the sales figures with 620 units sold followed by the Mitsubishi Strada pickup truck with 564. Overall, the MMPC sold a total of 2,621 units in August.

For the month of September, MMPC is offering a great deal for the L300. The Mitsubishi L300 is now offered at an affordable price point of Php 698,000. That’s a Php 106,000 cash discount from its original SRP. Mitsubishi hopes that its promo will assist Filipinos during these trying times.

“For the Mirage G4 and L300 which both are proudly Filipino-made, we rolled back its prices as far as 7 years to make it more affordable to the market,” said Mr. Mutsuhiro Oshikiri.

Mitsubishi L300

The current Mitsubishi L300 2023 by Japanese automaker Mitsubishi is based on the L300 Versa Van. While the latter was more of a family carrier, Mitsubishi has since marketed the L300 FB mainly as a commercial vehicle (CV). It is sold under one variant only which is the Cab & Chassis priced at Php 804,000. In the Philippines market, the L300 FB uses a Euro 4 compliant 2.2-liter 4N14 diesel power plant. At most, this mill can make up to 98 horsepower and 200 Nm of torque. Power is sent to the rear via a five-speed manual transmission.

When it comes to dimensions, the L300 spans 4,440 mm in length, 1,695 mm in width, and 1,915 mm. Also, it gets a wheelbase and ground clearance rated at 2,350 mm and 195 mm, respectively. This Mitsubishi CV is competing in the local market against the likes of Kia K2500, Isuzu Traviz, and Hyundai H-100.
