Every wonder how the Toyota Fortuner Legender looks in real life?

2020 Toyota Fortuner Legender: Taking the Fortuner to new heights

Several days ago, the 2020 Toyota Hilux and Fortuner made their debut in Thailand. Along with it is the new Fortuner variant dubbed as Legender. Understandably, we, along with the rest of the world, were excited for the updated models, and we wanted to see more.

Now, we’ll get to see the facelifted Fortuner, specifically the Legender variant in the metal. The official images were great, sure. But nothing can beat the details of real-world pictures.

2020 Toyota Fortuner Legender: Exterior

When it comes to exterior styling, the Fortuner Legender offers a vastly different looking front fascia. The upper grille and lower grille are prominent, giving the model a look a bit similarly shaped to what’s found on a Lexus.

The dual LED projector headlamps as well as the L-shaped daytime running lamps tie up the front end’s more modern look. Overall, it looks angrier and edgier than before, which is of course also in line with what Toyota’s going for on their global SUV and crossover models.

From the side, the biggest change on the Fortuner Legender would be its dual-tone paint scheme, which provides the Legender a sportier, more athletic appeal.

The same goes for the new 20-inch alloy wheels, which also comes in a metallic black and silver dual-tone color scheme. The rear end also gets a bump in style with the rear bumper’s new L-shape blade-like pieces, as well as the slightly re-designed tail-lamps.

2020 Toyota Fortuner Legender: Interior

Inside, the Fortuner Legender also gets easier on the eyes with its colored trim pieces which mirror the main exterior color. We’re still not sure whether this will be the same with the other available Legender colors, but as for the Emotional Red pictured here, it provides the interior a sportier, more premium look.

Other improvements found on the Fortuner Legender’s interior includes ambient lighting, dual USB ports, wireless smartphone charging, and a nine-inch touchscreen capable of connecting via Android Auto and Android Carplay, as well as a nine-speaker JBL audio system.

2020 Toyota Fortuner Legender: Engine & safety features

Also available for the Fortuner Legender is the Toyota Safety Sense safety suite which includes dynamic radar cruise control, 360-degree view camera, and a lane departure alert.

The 2.8-liter diesel engine has also been upgraded and it now makes 201 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. That’s a 27 horsepower and 50 Nm increase from the previous version. The smaller 2.4-liter diesel also makes its return for the facelifted Toyota Fortuner.
