Toyota Motor PH is determined to keep the Vios a best-selling car.

The Toyota Vios has been one of the most sought after subcompact sedans in the Philippines. Last year, it claimed the title as the best-selling car in the Philippines with 33,181 units sold.

Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) wants to maintain that momentum as it launched the facelifted 2020 Vios

The new look of the Vios is just awesome

The facelifted Toyota Vios is available in nine variants with a starting price of Php 671,000 while the top-spec G trim is priced at Php 1,056,000.

TMP said that buyers of the facelifted 2020 Vios can enjoy a free 20,000 km periodic maintenance package, a five-year warranty, as well as one-year comprehensive insurance. Interested individuals can also take advantage of TMP’s trade-in discount deals.

Moreover, TMP Vice President Sherwin Chua Lim said that the 2020 Vios will be offered with flexible financing deals through Toyota Financial Services (TFS).

Lim shared during the press conference that the 2020 Vios will come with low monthly plans which are already inclusive of the standard periodic maintenance service.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, TMP is offering the 2020 Vios with a specialized financial plan, which is balloon financing. This type of financing features lower monthly payments, and the lump sum amount to be paid at the end of the loan term.

However, TFS President Atsushi Murakami said that its balloon financing plan is different. Murakami said in a statement that:

“Some customers are afraid to take the risk of balloon scheme, as it is more commonly known, because they are not sure if they can pay the big amount at the end. But our Vios Balloon Payment Plus Plan is different. We reduce that risk for customers by guaranteeing the future value of their vehicle."

Murakami added that customers will have an "option to trade-in the vehicle at the dealer, enjoy a better value ... to pay for the lump sum at the end of the term and also use the difference for the down payment of the next car purchase.”

Here are the financing plan offered for the 2020 Toyota Vios:

The Toyota Vios is produced locally in the Philippines. Since 2007, the locally made Vios has cumulative production of 297,000 units. It is regarded as one of TMP's important models since subcompact vehicles comprise 20 percent of the local automotive market.
