Mitsubishi Triton Variants: Conclusion

Choosing the right Triton to buy will largely depend on what you’re going to use it for. For those buyers looking for a no-holds-barred off-road truck, then the Athlete 4x4 AT is for you. It is the only trim with Super Select 4WD-II, after all. Plus, it gets more in the way of safety and convenience features so it’ll also fit the bill as a plush daily.

Those who are looking for a no-nonsense hauler meanwhile, could just go for the simple GL 4x2 MT. There’s also the GL 4x4 MT if you need a logistics solution that can likewise handle mud, rough roads, and tough terrain.

On the other end of the spectrum is the ideal daily driver that won’t break the bank that much. This will belong to the GLX 4x2 and GLS 4x2 trims. In particular, the GLS is well-equipped for comfort and safety but the GLX 4x2 isn’t as barebones as the entry-level GL. The GLX 4x4 likewise exists for buyers who want a more comfortable option than the entry-level GL.

For serious buyers though, one should visit the nearest Mitsubishi dealership for a test drive. Nothing beats first-hand experience with a vehicle you’re looking to buy.
