The Mitsubishi Strada 2019 was seen again in Australia but this time with less camouflage.

With continuous spy shots have been coming out recently, it seems Mitsubishi is having a hectic plan for their upcoming Mitsubishi Strada 2019. Last week, pictures of a camouflaged Strada putting on the new Dynamic Shield face have surfaced online. Once again, the latest Strada was caught in Australia (by a Robert Pepper’s reader) and this time with less camouflage.

As can be seen from the photos, the new Strada has received a heavy refresh. What’s been unveiled in photos last week tells us the Mitsubishi Strada 2019 will get an X-shaped grille resembling the Montero Sport. The new modern and cohesive look of the Strada comes from the distinct front grille and the thin headlights. There are also clues of Xpander MPV’s styling applied to this new Strada: Huge foglights and stylish front bumper.

In conclusion, it seems the new Strada facelift is going to combine the ‘corporate’ design of the brand that they call ‘Dynamic Shield’.

The camouflaged vehicle gives us some signs of a newly updated bed design. The Mitsubishi Strada 2019 still keeps the J-Line that separate the bed form the cab; however, a minor change comes from the bed which looks longer and taller than before. Correspondingly, the Strada may attain larger cargo space.

The Strada’s taillights are still kept obscure making us wonder if it will receive any minor changes in design.

In terms of the engine, there’s not much to expect from its powertrain, the 2.4-litre MIVEC turbo-diesel which is equipped in the Montero Sport and the current Strada. However, it could be an option of an 8-speed automatic because the existing version only comes equipped with a 5-speed automatic or 5-speed/ 6-speed manual.
